DIJAK
Christopher James Dijak is a 37-year-old wrestler from Lunenburg, Massachusetts. He is currently signed with WWE and performs on RAW under the ring name, Dijak.
Growing up, Dijak was a standout athlete in high school and excelled at football. He was heavily recruited by many top New England area college football programs. Dijak accepted a scholarship to play college football for the UMass Minutemen. After a year at UMASS, he transferred to Bridgewater State University and excelled at both football and basketball there. He led the football team in both tackles and sacks in his junior and senior years, and led the basketball team in rebounding his senior year. He also earned all-league honors in both sports. Dijak was also named to the NCAA Division III Football East Region All-American team in his senior season playing for the Bears.
Dijak’s Early Wrestling Career
Dijak made his wrestling debut in August 2013 for the promotion, Chaotic Wrestling. He trained under Brian Fury and Todd Hanson (Ivar). At his debut, Dijak beat Vern Vicallo and remained undefeated until July 2014 when he lost to Chaotic Wrestling champion Mark Shurman. After earning another title shot in a fatal four-way match the next month, he went on to defeat Shurman in their rematch on October 24 and claim the CW Heavyweight Championship. His reign lasted 148 days where he lost the title against Chase Del Monte on March 21, 2015.
The following year, Dijak teamed with Mikey Webb to form the tag team, The American Destroyers. They went onto win the Chaotic Wrestling Tag Team Championship by defeating The Logan Brothers on December 26, 2016. The American Destroyers lost the titles a month later to The Mill City Hooligans. In his final match for the promotion, Dijak defeated Christian Casanova and Josh Briggs in a triple threat match for the Chaotic Wrestling New England Championship. Immediately following the match, he vacated the title.
Dijak’s Ring of Honor Debut
Christopher Dijak made his Ring of Honor (ROH) debut on July 27 at Future of Honor 2. He lost his first match to Moose but defeated Stokely Hathaway also that day. He then went on to win the 2015 Top Prospect Tournament by defeating Will Ferrara in the finals. Winning the tournament awarded him the opportunity to face Jay Lethal for the ROH World Television Championship but Dijak declined. Instead, he joined Truth Martini’s, “The House of Truth.”
