TYLER BATE
Tyler Bate is a 27-year-old professional wrestler from the United Kingdom. He is currently signed with the WWE and performs on both the company’s RAW brand. Bate is one half of the New Catch Republic team alongside Pete Dunne.
Bate made his wrestling debut in Preston City Wrestling as “The Iron Master” Tyler Bate at PCW Fright Night III in 2014. At his debut, he participated in a losing, 4-way match also featuring Charlie Garrett, Rich Swann and Zack Gibson. In early 2015, Bate debuted for American promotion, Chikara, alongside Trent Seven as part of their tour of the United Kingdom.
The duo of Bate and Seven engaged in several dark matches before becoming regular participants in Chikara events starting in 2016. On August 21, 2016, they achieved victory over Los Ice Creams, N_R_G, and The Devastation Corporation, thereby securing the Chikara Campeonatos de Parejas. However, they were later stripped of the title during Chikara’s secret season 16.
Bate Teams with Trent Seven & Pete Dunne
In 2017, Tyler Bate teamed with Trent Seven and Pete Dunne, to form “House Strong Style,” and they entered the 2017 King of Trios. House Strong Style defeated House Whitewolf in the first round and then beat House Throwbacks in the quarterfinals. In the semi-finals, House Strong Style defeated House Rot and in the finals, they beat the House Sendai Girls to win the 2017 King of Trios.
Tyler Bate made his debut in Progress Wrestling during Chapter 22, participating in a quarter-final match of the Natural Progression Series, where he was defeated by William Eaver. His initial appearance in Progress, alongside Trent Seven as the tag team Moustache Mountain, resulted in a loss to Damian and Pete Dunne at Chapter 28. In Chapter 41, Bate and Seven triumphed over The London Riots and The LDRS of the New School, consisting of Zack Sabre Jr. and Marty Scurll, in a three-way tag team match, thereby securing the vacant Progress World Championship. However, at Chapter 50, they lost the Tag Team Championships to #CCK, represented by Chris Brookes and Kid Lykos. After reclaiming the title, Bate and Seven faced #CCK again in a ladder match on September 10, 2017, but ultimately lost the championship once more.
