ASHANTE ADONIS

Tehuti Miles is a 32-year-old professional wrestler from Hammonton, New Jersey. He is currently signed to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) on its SmackDown brand under the ring name Ashante Adonis.

After graduating high school in 2008, Miles enlisted in the United States Army. He served from 2008 until 2013. During his enlistment, Miles served a combat tour in Afghanistan between 2010 and 2011. After his service, Miles attended the University of Maryland, where he played Division I football as a running back.

Early Professional Wrestling Career

Miles underwent training at MCW Pro Wrestling’s (formerly known as Maryland Championship Wrestling) at its wrestling center. He made his debut for Ring of Honor in 2018 at the November 3rd television tapings in a dark match. He teamed with Dante Caballero and Joe Keys in a six-man tag match losing to Cheeseburger, Eli Isom and Ryan Nova. In his first Ring of Honor singles match on November 23rd, he lost to Ken Dixon.

In 2019, Miles made his pay-per-view debut on January 26 during the third night of the 2019 Road To G1 Supercard tour. On that night, Miles debuted his new ring name Elijah King in a dark match lost to Andy Dalton.

Ashante Adonis’ WWE Debut

In December 2018, Miles was listed in a report published by WWE about its latest prospects who were invited to train at the WWE Performance Center. Under the ring name, Elijah King, he debuted in 2019 on the April 1st episode of Monday Night RAW. In his debut, he appeared in a backstage segment with Brandon Scott confronting Braun Strowman. Later in the night, both King and Scott teamed in a two-on-one handicap match lost to Strowman.

Miles returned to WWE television on the August 21st episode of SmackDown live where he lost to Drake Maverick. The following week, he wrestled and lost in a singles match to The Brian Kendrick. The following month after a loss against Ariya Daivari on the September 4 episode of Smackdown Live, Miles returned to television under a new name. On the September 11 episode of Smackdown Live debuting as Ashante Adonis, he lost a rematch against The Brian Kendrick.

In September 2019, Miles competed at a NXT Live event where he lost to Cameron Grimes. The next night, he lost another singles match to Damian Priest. He made his NXT television debut on the April 15 episode of NXT, losing to Dexter Lumis. Four months later, Miles returned to NXT in August and two months later received the ring name, Ashante Adonis. On the October 7 episode of NXT, Adonis won a rematch defeating The Brian Kendrick.

Hit Row WWE Release & Return

On the May 18, 2021 episode NXT Adonis debuted with the new tag team stable Hit Row in a tag match defeating Ariya Daivari & Tony Nese. They wrestled only four more matches, with their final match held on the August 24 episode of NXT. In their final match, they lost to a six-man tag match to Legado del Fantasma (Joaquin Wilde, Raul Mendoza & Santos Escobar). Adonis, along with Hit Row were drafted to SmackDown during the 2021 WWE draft but only wrestled one match before being released on November 18.

On the August 12, 2022 episode of SmackDown, Hit Row, made their return as fan favorites. Top Dolla and Ashante “Thee” Adonis, alongside B-Fab, defeated two local competitors. Shortly afterwards, Hit Row began a feud with Maximum Male Models. They defeated the Maximum Male Models on the September 2, 2022 edition of SmackDown.
