In January 2018, Impact Wrestling released Green after she had asked for her contractual release from the company several months earlier. At the time, Impact refused as she held the company’s Knockouts Title. Shortly after leaving Impact, Chelsea debuted during the season four tapings of Lucha Underground on February 25 2018, under the stage name “Reklusa.” She wrestled a fatal 4-Way with Jeremiah Crane, XO Lishus, and Marty “The Moth” Martinez. On October 10, Reklusa lost to Pentagón Dark in the main event.
Chelsea Green’s WWE Debut
Chelsea took part in WWE tryouts and was signed on August 3, 2018. She started at the WWE Performance Center on October 8, 2018 and made her NXT in-ring debut at a live event on October 26. Green wrestled under her familiar “psychotic” gimmick. At her first TV match on March 13 2019, Chelsea suffered a broken wrist and underwent surgery the following day. She made her return a few months later in June.
In December 2019, Green appeared on Monday Night RAW losing to Charlotte Flair. She competed in the Women’s Royal Rumble match on January 26 2020 which was won by Charlotte Flair. On NXT’s March 4th episode, Green defeated Shotzi Blackheart. This win qualified her to compete in a ladder match at NXT TakeOver: Tampa Bay to determine the #1 contender for the NXT Women’s Championship. The ladder match was moved to the April 8 episode of NXT which was won by Io Shirai. On the May 27 episode of NXT, Chelsea fired Robert Stone.
Green made her SmackDown debut on the November 13, 2020 edition of the show. She participated in a fatal four-way qualifying match against Liv Morgan, Natalya, and Tamina. Following that match, it was revealed that Green had broken her wrist again. The planned finish which saw Green winning had to be changed to Morgan as a result. After months of inactivity, on April 15, 2021, WWE released Green from her contract alongside several other wrestlers.
Green Debuts at Ring of Honor
Chelsea made her surprise debut at Ring of Honor (ROH)’s Best in the World pay-per-view event. She was scheduled to wrestle in the ROH Women’s World Championship tournament. However, Green was not medically cleared in time to participate due to her fractured wrist. While recovering from that injury, Green appeared as one of the onscreen commentators for the tournament’s first round matches.
Chelsea Returns to Impact Wrestling
On July 17, 2021 at Slammiversary, Chelsea returned to Impact Wrestling, but under her real name. She wrestled in an intergender tag team match with real-life fiancé Matt Cardona, defeating Brian Myers and Tenille Dashwood. In October, she entered the tournament to crown the first Impact Digital Media Champion. She defeated Madison Rayne in the first round but lost to Jordynne Grace in the finals at the Bound for Glory pay-per-view show.
On January 8, 2022, at Hard to Kill, Chelsea participated in the inaugural Knockouts Ultimate X match, which was won by Tasha Steelz.On the July 21st episode of Impact!, Green alongside Deonna Purrazzo, now dubbed as “VXT”, were victorious against the Knockouts World Champions Jordynne Grace and Mia Yim. At Emergence’s pre-show in August, VXT defeated Rosemary and Taya Valkyrie to win the Impact Knockouts World Tag Team Championship. They lost the title on October 7th at Bound for Glory to The Death Dollz (Jessicka, Rosemary and Valkyrie). Their reign lasted 56 days. Chelsea had her last match with the company against Mickie James on the November 11th episode of Impact in a losing effort. After her loss to James, Chelsea and Purazzo had a backstage segment where Chelsea said she was “going home”. It would then be reported that she had left Impact officially.
Chelsea Returns to WWE
On January 28, 2023, Green made her surprise return to WWE at the 2023 Royal Rumble as a participant in the Women’s Royal Rumble match. She entered the match at number 20 but was quickly eliminated by Rhea Ripley in five seconds – a Women’s Royal Rumble record. Upon her return, she became a member of the RAW brand.
On the March 27th episode of Monday Night RAW, Green teamed up with Sonya Deville and defeated the team of “Michin” Mia Yim and Candice LeRae to qualify for the Women’s WrestleMania Showcase match. At WrestleMania 39, Green and Deville lost to Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler. As part of the WWE 2023 Draft, both Chelsea and Sonya Deville were drafted to RAW. On the July 3rd episode of RAW, Green and Deville won a tag team turmoil match for a WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship opportunity.
Green’s First WWE Championship
On the July 17th episode of RAW, Green and Deville defeated Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez to win the tag team titles. However, on August 7th, Deville was reported to have suffered an ACL injury. She had to relinquish her half of the tag team title. On the August 14 episode of RAW, despite Green wanting to hold auditions for a new tag team partner, a returning Piper Niven took one half of the tag team titles and declared she would be Green’s new partner.
On the October 30th episode of RAW, Green won her first singles match on the main roster where she defeated Natalya in a Trick-or-Street Fight match. The following night, Green and Niven returned to NXT to successfully defend the tag team titles against Chase University (Thea Hail and Jacy Jayne) at NXT: Halloween Havoc Night 2. On December 11 it was announced that Green and Niven would defend their tag team titles against new number one contenders Kayden Carter and Katana Chance. The following week on RAW, Green and Niven lost the tag team titles to Carter and Chance. Their reigned lasted 126 days and Green’s individual reign at 154 days. Green and Niven were unsuccessful in regaining titles on the January 8th episode of RAW.
At Royal Rumble, Green entered at #14 in the women’s Royal Rumble match, lasting over 17 minutes before being eliminated by Becky Lynch. At Night 2 of the 2024 WWE Draft, Green and Niven were drafted to the SmackDown brand. Green made a surprise appearance at Week 2 of Spring Breakin’ on April 30 where she was announced as NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez’s next challenger for the title. Green failed to defeat Perez for the title on the following week’s episode of NXT.
Inaugural Women’s United States Champion
On the November 22 episode of SmackDown, Green entered the tournament to crown the inaugural Women’s United States Champion, defeating Blair Davenport and WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Bianca Belair in a triple threat match in the preliminary round. After defeating Bayley in the semifinals, Green advanced to the finals at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 14, where she defeated Michin to become the inaugural Women’s United States Champion, her first singles championship in WWE.
